Get Well Soon Lou Party [OPEN]

 Val had worked hard turning her precious garden into a space suitable for a party. She knew how stressed out and awful Lou must feel right now and she was determined that she would shake her right back into the cheerful voice of reason she normally was. Messages had been sent out to anyone who had any connection to Lou the night she came home from the hospital and Val prayed people would have time to show up.

Every branch and bush in the garden had been strung with fairy lights, the strings hidden so they looked more like floating globes of light. Chairs and tables had been tucked into empty spaces and various snacks and alcohol had been set up on a long table off to the side. She'd taken into consideration the rather... aphrodisiac effect these get-togethers seemed to have and small nooks out of the way of the rest of the party had been set up and thoroughly charmed with privacy charms. More charms sent out an thread of magic to draw anyone who appeared to be looking for privacy towards them.

Sitting herself down in the middle of everything, she spent an hour putting the strongest protection spells she could in a bubble around the party. They wouldn't do anything to keep those who wandered away from the party safe, but hopefully they would keep those in the bubble safe for the duration of the party.

A quick charm on her flowers so they wouldn't be trampled or picked, a call to Lou to ask her to come over, and a shower and an outfit change later, she was ready. Taking a deep breath, she turned on the soft, not too energetic music she'd put together, and flopped down into a chair to wait.

"Dress, unnie." Val calls from where she's stretched out at a table. "You have so many nice summer dresses. I don't know why you won't wear them for parties."

"Fine! But only for Lou." She sticks her tongue out at Val before disappearing back into the house where she quickly changed, tripping over her shoes a few times along the way back out. "That's right," she says as she walks out to her sister. "I'm wearing my cat dress."

Val smirks slightly. "You think I'm gonna protest, but I won't. At least it's a dress."

"Damnit!" She steps out of the house, closing the door behind her, and takes a look around. "Wow, you did a really beautiful job out here, Val!"

"No thanks to you," she teases. "But seriously, thank you. Just pray my charms hold up and my plants don't get trampled by people who don't care about flowers, okay?"

"Hey, fairy lights are difficult, okay," she laughs. "I'll tackle anyone who gets near them, cross my heart. I'll be your babies' bodyguard tonight."

Riley looks around before lowering her voice, grining. "Did you invite Grant?"

"You're my knight in shining armour," Val grins, straightening up Riley's dress.

"Ji-Yun! I know what you're implying and you'd better stop that. Of course I did, he's one of Val's friends."

Riley slaps at Val's hands as she looks around the garden to see who's shown up. "Stop fussing over that."

"What?" she asks innocently. "I just want to thank him for helping you with the whole demon monster thing!"

Val reaches up and pinches her earlobe. "Don't smack my hands away! I'm making you pretty!"

"Mhmm... I've already thanked him, thank you very much."

"You're making my ears hurt!"

"But I'll be thanking him on behalf of the family. I'm your unnie," she argues.

"You're making my hands hurt!"

Val raises an eyebrow, cocking her head. "Ohhh... So I should thank Tristan for you!"

"Let go of my ear, you weirdo!"

"For what??" Her cheeks flush.

[bewitchinghaze]

"Let me fix your dress, you child!"

"For keeping you safe during all of this, of course!" She grins widely, noticing the rapidly forming blush and revelling in it.

"UGH fine!" She crosses her arms over her chest, thrusting her hip toward Val. "Fix my dress."

"I wasn't in danger, I was helping people, okay."

Val smirks, letting go of her ear and straightening up her dress. "There. Now you're pretty!"

"You were as in much danger as anyone else in this town. Aka, a lot."

[jiyunnies]

Riley sticks her tongue out. "Whatever."

"I was in less danger than the girl who actively followed the thing and the guy who climbed to his rooftop, thank you very much."

"You were still in daaaan-ger~" she points out, her voice taking on a tauntingly sing-song tone. "And he still kept you saaaafe!"

"Please, together we kept the people in the bakery safe." She glares at Val. That girl is always danger when you have a crush.

"And Grant and I kept each other safe. Together." she beams. "So if I don't have to talk to Tristan, you don't have to talk to Grant!"

"Oh you kept each other safe, did you?"

[bewitchinghaze]

Val reaches up, pinching her earlobe again. "We did. Platonically. Just like you and Tristan."

[jiyunnies]

Riley smacks her hand away. "What's your obsession with ears? Alright, alright. I won't talk to Grant if you don't talk to Tristan."

"Oh and Ikindahaveadatewithim BYE!" She quickly turns on her heel to run to the table covered with food.

"Yah! I'm definitely talking to him now, unnie!" she calls after her, huffing angrily.

Riley cackles as she passes by after talking to Grant.

Val shoots her a look. "Tristan's here, by the way! We had a lovely chat." she calls out.
