Get Well Soon Lou Party [OPEN]

 Val had worked hard turning her precious garden into a space suitable for a party. She knew how stressed out and awful Lou must feel right now and she was determined that she would shake her right back into the cheerful voice of reason she normally was. Messages had been sent out to anyone who had any connection to Lou the night she came home from the hospital and Val prayed people would have time to show up.

Every branch and bush in the garden had been strung with fairy lights, the strings hidden so they looked more like floating globes of light. Chairs and tables had been tucked into empty spaces and various snacks and alcohol had been set up on a long table off to the side. She'd taken into consideration the rather... aphrodisiac effect these get-togethers seemed to have and small nooks out of the way of the rest of the party had been set up and thoroughly charmed with privacy charms. More charms sent out an thread of magic to draw anyone who appeared to be looking for privacy towards them.

Sitting herself down in the middle of everything, she spent an hour putting the strongest protection spells she could in a bubble around the party. They wouldn't do anything to keep those who wandered away from the party safe, but hopefully they would keep those in the bubble safe for the duration of the party.

A quick charm on her flowers so they wouldn't be trampled or picked, a call to Lou to ask her to come over, and a shower and an outfit change later, she was ready. Taking a deep breath, she turned on the soft, not too energetic music she'd put together, and flopped down into a chair to wait.

She leans back in her chair, kicking him under the table. "Are you going to explain or just keep hinting around because I am clearly missing something."

Grant leans back in his chair, a little frustrated she's missing his point. "Abasi closet kind of fun."

"...Grant! You- We can't- Oh my god," she sputters, more than a little embarrassed that she missed that. "I guess... I kind of... did set up nooks for that sort of thing..."

"You set up makeout nooks but didn't catch my drift?"

She blushes, huffing grumpily. "I'm used to other people making out at parties. Not me."

[grantmiddleton]

"So do you want to make out at your own party?" he asks, raising his eyebrows.

"Hmmm..." Val chews at her lip, looking around. "I dunnooo... What if something goes wrong in the party?"

"Make your sister take care of it?" he suggests.

"I was mostly kidding, but that is an idea..." she grins, reaching into the grass and sending a spark of magic through it. The blades nearest Riley's ankles grew, wrapping around it and tugging to get her attention.

Riley freaks out a little when she feels something grab her ankles, but she relaxes when she looks down to see its grass. She looks around to find Val, giving her a 'wtf you want' gesture.

Val mimes for her to keep an eye on things, nodding her head towards Grant and raising her eyebrows pleadingly.

Val rolls her eyes, sticking her tongue out before grabbing Grant's wrist and tugging him towards one of the nooks and past the privacy spells.

"Riley's handling things now!" she chirps, a little nervous now that they're there.

"Bless your sister," he grins as he follows Val. "What all did you do to these nooks?" Grant looks around them, noting they now can't see or hear the rest of the party.

She reaches up, tweaking a lobelia blossom. "Privacy spells to keep anyone from walking in on people in... um, compromising positions, and weak summoning spells that seek out anyone who seems to be looking for somewhere to makeout and pulls them over."

[grantmiddleton]

"You reaaallly thought this through," he grins before kissing her cheek.

She giggles, reaching up and sliding her hands onto his shoulders. "It's not a Siren Cove party if someone doesn't run off to makeout and I'd rather not have it disturb Lou."

[grantmiddleton]

Grant chuckles. "Lord, don't I know that. I had the staff sanitize the entire house after that ball."

"Such a good friend." He kisses softly along her jaw.

"Thankfully my flowers will take care of that for me."

"I try," she breathes, nuzzling his cheek, her fingers fisting in the collar of his shirt.

"You have house-cleaning flowers?" He wraps his arms around her waist, pulling her into him.

"They'll just absorb any... mess," she grins, leaning up and pressing a kiss to his lips.

"Good flowers," he comments, distracted. Grant deepens the kiss with a grin.

"Mmm..."

She slips her arms around his neck, pressing against him as she kisses him eagerly.
