Get Well Soon Lou Party [OPEN]

 Val had worked hard turning her precious garden into a space suitable for a party. She knew how stressed out and awful Lou must feel right now and she was determined that she would shake her right back into the cheerful voice of reason she normally was. Messages had been sent out to anyone who had any connection to Lou the night she came home from the hospital and Val prayed people would have time to show up.

Every branch and bush in the garden had been strung with fairy lights, the strings hidden so they looked more like floating globes of light. Chairs and tables had been tucked into empty spaces and various snacks and alcohol had been set up on a long table off to the side. She'd taken into consideration the rather... aphrodisiac effect these get-togethers seemed to have and small nooks out of the way of the rest of the party had been set up and thoroughly charmed with privacy charms. More charms sent out an thread of magic to draw anyone who appeared to be looking for privacy towards them.

Sitting herself down in the middle of everything, she spent an hour putting the strongest protection spells she could in a bubble around the party. They wouldn't do anything to keep those who wandered away from the party safe, but hopefully they would keep those in the bubble safe for the duration of the party.

A quick charm on her flowers so they wouldn't be trampled or picked, a call to Lou to ask her to come over, and a shower and an outfit change later, she was ready. Taking a deep breath, she turned on the soft, not too energetic music she'd put together, and flopped down into a chair to wait.

"You would take pleasure in that," she grins.

"She'll know where I'm coming from too then! So we're all good!"

"What? I think people should have a little more fear of little Asian ladies. We're not delicate lotus flowers like they think, y'know?" she laughs.

"You're evil and you must be stopped."

"I think they definitely have fear or at least think we're insane," she grins.

"You wanna try?" she grins.

"Eh, if they think we're insane they'll be scared anyway. I'm good either way, you know?"

"Nah, I just want to be your right-hand lady."

"Best of both worlds. Unless we end up scaring off each other's crushes."

[bewitchinghaze]

"You can be chief advisor when I rule this town, 'kay?"

"Not a crush!" she mutters. "If you see any plants moving around you when you're at the restaurant, it's not me."

[jiyunnies]

"Sounds perfect."

"Mmhmm, not a crush," she grins. "Vaaall, if I see one plant, so help me. He's nice."

"It's just... keeping an eye out on you! You're my unnie! We've only got each other, you know?" she pouts, giving her the most intensely pathetic puppy eyes she can muster.

Riley caves, petting her sister's hair lovingly. "I know, I know. And you could totally send your plants to check on me if he was shady, but he's not. I like him."

She carefully crosses her fingers behind her back and sighs. "Fine, fine. I won't do anything to interfere, okay?"

"Soo-Yun," she warns. "Show your hands."

She holds up her hands, all her fingers uncrossed, and blinks innocently. "What's wrong, unnie?"

"Now promise you won't interfere without crossing anything."

[bewitchinghaze]

She quietly crosses her toes but keeps her hands up. "I promise I won't interfere with your date."

[jiyunnies]

Riley shakes her head as she walks off to the food table to grab a drink. "I know you too well, Soo-Yun," she calls out.

"You wish!" she calls after her, sticking out her tongue.
